Re: 1st buglet discovered

... Yay, after a decade of radio silence, I have a bug kill. I have already vaccinated myself against this viral bug with an Autohotkey exception for the WTL_QuickView class window. Autohotkey and Xplorer² are like my extra right and left hands... Alan Hello Alan, As a neo-AHK user, can you please ...

Re: are you a ribbon or menu person?

... One of the reasons why I bought SoftMaker Office years ago. The newest versions allow me to choose a ribbon bar... but I don’t. :D I'm addicted to Excel/VBA. Not going to throw all that away to learn Python or other languages for automation. I've created entire applications (simple ones!) using...

Re: are you a ribbon or menu person?

I have been forced to accept the ribbon on M$ crap but I'll avoid them everywhere else if at all possible.

I'm still willing to contribute to the funding to take a hit out on the person or persons that came up with the "ribbon" UI.

Re: Autoresize name column is not working

"Statistically". Hmmmm.... Well, if you're going for an "A" which in my experience was only a paltry 90% or better, then getting a 90% confidence level that a fixed sample of 80 will get you the widest filename means the population can only be 111 or less. If you're happy with a "B" (80%), then that...

Re: here's the big one!

Tried Miller columns and they worked, but I don't think that's a feature I'll use. Regarding another post about mass rename and your response to using fixed position syntax to replace characters at a certain location in the filename, can you please update the token help screen for mass rename to inc...

Re: here's the big one!

Can the beta be installed while keeping the currently released x2 installed, or does this overwrite the existing installation?

Re: Autoresize name column is not working

which NAME column do you have selected, is it the [S]tock title column or something else? also note that xplorer2 doesn't check 1000 names to figure out a width, it does up to 80 I think and whichever has the longer name gives the width to the column. So chances are that the size is too small for s...

Re: #manatwork

Good morning Nikos, I'm pleased you continue to develop and improve X2. It's still the only program that gets started first on every Windows machine I use, every day! Only Excel comes in a close second. :D Can you look at a change to the Mark/Sticky Selection function to make it more consistent with...

Re: blog: stuck between a rock and a hard place

Just the facts: - My brother, in his '70s, has had it twice. It was definitely worse than the flu, and he lost his sense of taste. But he recovered in a few weeks the first time and a few days the second. - An engineer I work with, and his entire family, came down with it. He described it as a flu w...

Re: xplorer2 v4.5 final released

Well, looks like I'm not the only one.

The x2down.htm page links worked for me, but all the download links on https://www.zabkat.com/alldown.htm aren't working for me either.

Re: Dual Pane to Single to Dual Loses the Configuration

I use folder groups on a regular basis to save bottom/right pane configurations. It's the times when I haven't saved the pane config and accidentially hit ctrl-O(uch) by mistake that are the issue. Deleting the configuration information seems extreme. Again, can the program save the configuration an...

Dual Pane to Single to Dual Loses the Configuration

When in dual pane view, with multiple tabs open in each pane (my normal, messy, workflow), if I accidentally switch to single pane then restore dual pane, all the tabs configured in the lower/right pane are gone. Can the lower/right pane's tab configuration be retained when switched from dual to sin...

Unfortunately not.

If I see it happening again, I'll pause the operation and grab screen shots.
