Re: File copy (etc) functions not multitasking as in the pas

@TenYearsGone: Is the target location across a network? I've found x2 usually stops responding when copying or moving files across a network link, either home or work, however the root problem may still be in the OS. Can you try Teracopy to perform the same operation and see if the explorer programs...

Re: migrate virtual machines

But no one puts displays in bombs! That's crazy talk! What ? Next you're going to tell me that those huge red blinking LEDs on covert tracking and listening devices in the movies are not real either ? Now that's just silly! How else would you know it was working without the blinking lights? Come on...

Re: migrate virtual machines

Test sets and installations are one thing, bombs are a horse of a totally different color, and I'm not privy to the upgrade paths for that hardware. Since most are designed to last 30+ years in storage, I'd expect similar technology levels, but using miniaturized components. But no one puts displays...

Re: migrate virtual machines

I would go for a more powerful machine for my everyday work... Nikos is a big fan of the US Government's approach to hardware upgrading ... "This system remains in use because, in short, it still works" Very true! The military test and repair depots, for instance, have lots of systems design...

Re: Freeze of xplorer² when accessing slow folders.

the best recommendation I can offer is to use CTRL+N command to manually create a new thread (window), and do your slow browsing in there; the original window will stay responsive. Each xplorer2 window is a separate thread NIKOS: This may be the single BEST work-around you've ever offered! :thumbup...

Offline Files: Wish it were so easy :( Limits already at 66.7GB Usage: 0 bytes. Apparently the OS doesn't consider this transfer to be in scope for this setting... Not using sync, just copying the files to local storage to increase access speed 100x or so. Deleted temporary files in case there was s...

Copy Error: "Not enough quota is available to process this "

The full error message is: Windows error = 1816: Not enough quota is available to process this command. This error halted a transfer of a medium sized folder structure. The transfer ended after 406 files of 654MB. An MSDN page suggested increasing virtual memory. Since I've performed MUCH LARGER tra...
