Hi,

that's one column Nikos left out intentionally (and rightfully so). You have to change the properties in the Windows-Explorers which hides "known" extensions. If this is switched off you can see the type perfectly in the filename and don't need the extra column.

Nikos the find results window supports a limited range of commands via a right-click context menu. For more options you can hilight files and hit Enter to load them into a regular pane for more flexibility. Or you can launch the standard explorer find command from within 2x from some folder's contex...

Hey Nikos, back to one request someone else already posted (I think). Of course I don't know Jack about programming problems, but isn't it possible to expand the functionality of the result window of "Find" with renaming (F2), copying (F5) and moving (F6) directly (not only selecting with Enter and ...

Hi Phil, that feature doesn't really need to be implemented. There are several free and fine working shell extensions for Windows Explorer which of course work well in 2xExplorer doing just what you want. For example try Ninotech Path Copy http://www.image.dk/~ninotech for your specific need only or...

Just used again a little Freeware-Tool called emptybin (24 k) since I don't like going through the Windows trash-bin to delete the "saved" deleted items (well, I'm using Shift-Del most the time anyway). How about a little utility like that in the tools menue of 2xExplorer? No fuzz, just one click an...

This comes from something I mentioned I fear. I was citing from memory, so sorry for being not completely correct. About a year ago some PC magazines offered a full version of ZipMagic98 (the one before the current) on their accompanying CDs, sort of "free" since there was only a registering through...

Thanks rfz for coming to my aid! :-)

Nikos, additionally to my second post with the "relay", have a look how old poor Windows Explorer handles it which IMHO is one of the few things it does better than 2xExplorer.

(If that doesn't work, I don't know ;-))

<i>> I'd like to have a "better" browsing of the tree pane if I take hitting <Enter> out of the picture, then the problem is that while you scroll up/down using the arrow keys then you'll inevitably load loads of folders you didn't mean to (those inbetween your starting and intended target folder). ...

Repeating myself, but I love 2xExplorer, too, of course. Just trying to make a terrific program even better. (BTW, I'm tripping about the alt-Enter thing now or then, too. Old customs die hard) I'd like to have a "better" browsing of the tree pane. Right now you have to press "enter" each time you l...

Well, no suggestion for the content, but wouldn't it be better (at least for long term) to make at least three seperate categories  (not threads) "Help/Support", "Requests/Suggestions" and "General" to post in somehow? I feel it will be quite confusing and maybe annoying to always  load an increasin...

Hey Nikos, once again many thanks for your program. I think it's an ingenious piece of software and I use it daily as my tool of choice for filemanaging over strong contenders like WinCommander, ServantSalamander or PowerDesk Pro. I like how it combines the best from the worlds of WinExplorer and th...
