If you're comparing renamers you shouldn't leave out Flexible Renamer which (surprisingly) isn't so well known. It's my personal favourite and appealed to me from the start (similar to 2x way back). I've recommended it before. I don't know about Win7 or 64bit apps since I'm still on XP. But please c...

You don't need a user command for the task here. Use MRename which is a shell-extension and gives you to opportunity to choose from quite a lot of renaming samples after a right-click on the selected files (MR Quickmenu). Though I just checked, the option to convert spaces to underscores doesn't see...

Maybe X2 can still help with the task. If you use Alt-D in the root folder you get a window with the sizes and count of files of the subfolders. The ones without files and only subfolders are sorted at the bottom. You can't delete them directly from this pane, but you can jump to the folder with <en...

Hm, a little workaround could be this: Use a 2-windowed scrap pane. First you flatten one folder (the DVD I presume) with Shift-Enter or Browse Flat from the File Menu. (If you don't have 2 windows in the scrap pane go to that with Ctrl-O). Now flatten your other folder in the same way. I don't know...

warning of opening large files
This is a very low priority item.
The warning for large files opened by 2xEd is very useful since usually it's indeed a mistake (hit F3 instead of F2 or something).
But if you choose "No" wouldn't it be logical to close 2xEd entirely and not open an empty window of it?

OK, I'll work with stock size then and see. When you say "all files smaller then this" you actually mean "all size differences"? Because it happens for bigger files as well if there are only small size differences. Maybe you even should delete the size column from the menu because of this discrepanc...

Sure. I noticed it when I downloaded some zips with subtitles and compared them to old ones. But try this to reproduce: Create a newfile in left pane with f7. Write content asdf with editor2 in it. Create another newfile in right pane with f7. Write content asdfe with editor2 in it. Left one of cour...

Small Bug in Compare Feature
I'm using very often the compare feature with Ctrl-F9 and the options identical / "comparison based on size". I noticed it is showing small files as identical if there's only a difference of a few bytes. Can easily be recreated by creating two identical named textfiles with a few characters. I guess...

it isn't really escapable since it uses the background thread. A lot of work would be required to change this behaviour. I recommend using folder statistics instead <alt+D> which is escapable Well, that's what I feared. I know alt+D of course, after all it's been there before Ctrl-D already in 2x. ...
