Re: v5.5 progress report
I assumed that you planed on making the new one more like the old one, with the links, plus navigation at the bottom, etc. https://www.zabkat.com/x2h_0.htm Though the local doc is a lot harder to discern page and section transitions on account of the continuous scrolling of the document. I think the...

Re: v5.5 progress report
You're probably going to yell at me for this, but the image numbering is off kilter - because it is not uniform. Well, IMO anyway. Considering images with numbers only: First image you're jumping all around Second image is logical (top to bottom) Third image is logical (left to right - yes, I know t...

Re: Disable prompt to include inactive pane?
Or, at least to make it an option to make the setting (either yes or no) permanent so those of us who still want to see it every time we do a quick and dirty dupe check from inside X² we can still see it?

Re: mark "not empty" folders
I have that option that FrizzleFry mentions enabled for all of my Xplorer² profiles. It does use your system resources a bit more, and when moving to a parent folder that has a lot of child folders, it can take some time, but it works well moving into and back out of child folders, just (sometimes) ...

I tested your supposition in Office 365 - it's there.
I have no idea why this was done, but I do seem to NOT having this issue when I worked for my Masters degree some 11-12 years ago, so...
It's Microsoft. That is the only answer I got.

Re: blog: easy excel plots
Your way is one way to do it. You could also make a template forcing each axis to be a column, or just manually create it, though IMO, the template is probably fastest (once you get it set up), and the scatter plot --> other type of chart is second fastest. https://superuser.com/questions/81398/map-...

Re: Find folders containing multiple specified file types
Searching via BOOLEAN:
{Includes [*.mkv AND (*.AVI OR *.MP4)]}
Is what he wants. I've never really though t about it, but I suspect there is a way to accomplish this in X², as you've got a ton of backend into this program, Nikos.
Is there a way to do nested BOOLEAN searches such as that?

Re: Feature = button option to clear filter box
why is ESC so much better than F2 key? They do the same job clearing the box Because it is a de facto standard in the world of Windows. Try opening a command prompt (CMD) window and start typing any rubbish at the command line. Now, without doing anything else, hit the [ESC] on your keyboard. You g...

Re: delete failure
One thing to realize is that the file system might be playing a factor here. Windows only allows for a max path length (in characters) of 260. https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/win32/fileio/naming-a-file Maximum Path Length Limitation In editions of Windows before Windows 10 version 1607, th...

Re: anyone with windows 11?
Since we've been working on it independently via email, I'll fill in a bit of info here for the forum users to see. It seems that this is a virtual folder 'collection' of some sort, and while the folders located in my 'home' folder are navigable, in the actual folder pane they are not named, display...

Ahh. Cached. Makes more sense now.
I'm installing the (latest) beta today, but I don't foresee any real problem with it.
