Re: Set column width
What? I just opened a folder and set the "Name" column width, by dragging it to the width I wanted, but when I closed Xplorer and then reopened it to this same folder, it had gone back to whatever preset it was originally. How is this column width decided and where can I change it? When yo...

Re: Set column width
I know this post is old, but I am still wishing Xplorer2 would do what Microsoft has done with selecting column widths. I do not see a problem with selecting a certain number of pixels for any individual column or all columns. There is only one size font being used, at least for me, and I could easi...

Re: filter out specific file name with "(2)"
Soooo sorry, spoke to soon. Got to thinking about Nikos reply, and how the filter box in the scrap container didn't work at all. But guess what, when I put (2) in the regular search/filter/...etc. box and selected "filter" I got 34 files with (2) after the name on the file. I'm sorry Profe...

Re: filter out specific file name with "(2)"
To Profess: Yep! that was a winner. Thanks a lot, sure did help. I didn't realize my post had been replied to. I don't seem to have an email notification that it was replied to. Been kinda busy, but probably would have gone to the forum to check, eventually. I always think all forums send a notifica...

filter out specific file name with "(2)"
:?: I have several audio (mp3) files that have duplicates, simply because there are two albums with the same song, but I would like to filter out these files that have the number two "(2)" at the end of the name. I have flattened the folder in a scrap container, but when I try to "fin...

Re: how to separate mp3 files from album metadata files
:?: This sounds like exactly what I was trying to avoid! You mean I still have to open each individual album folder (about 100) and copy from there? Why is it I can filter out all the mp3 files 'only' to a scrap container, and can even preview/play them, but if I use the "copy to" option i...

how to separate mp3 files from album metadata files
How can I separate all mp3 files from other files, like cover art, in about 100 different album folders; and have them copied to and accessible in a single individual folder?

Re: set search filter for partial match
Could this be broken down to exact instructions. I tried setting the fuzzy to 75, but got a message "Items exist; turn off visual filter to see them". I didn't know what this means. I tried other folders that should also bring up results, but then get nothing because it seems the fuzzy set...

set search filter for partial match
:?: I would like to know how to set search parameters for partial matches. Below is an example of a file search I placed, which returned zero results, and then was actually located using the charm bar search because it can find partial matches. Searched for: Sojourn - Time Rovers Book 1 Actual Title...

Set column width
:eh: I cannot find a way to set an individual column to a specified width, and I am having a problem with the "Name" column being wider than I would like. If there is one file name longer than all the rest, I do not want the column set to accommodate this one file. I do not think the "...

Re: column customization dialogue box
:| Sorry this is late, always expecting email notifications for replies, and didn't get one for this. I'm posting a before and after image of how the text gets highlighted before the next keystroke just deletes the entry completely. I am new to 'computering', but I can't imagine what could be causin...

column customization dialogue box
:? In the View>Select Columns dialogue box I am having a real problem with the text box that has the small green funnel (representing a filter sort, I'm supposing). When I try to type in a word, I can only type one or maybe two letters before it becomes highlighted/selected and then when the next le...
