to change any registry setting you have to quit x2 first

if you want to add on top using this "lasso" selection, then you must press <Ctrl> (or <Shift>)

such a command is planned
however, why do you want to have auto-save @ the end disabled?
if it is just starting at some specific folders, you can use the command line options via a shortcut

sticky selection is very tricky to implement
as such i wouldn't touch it for curing such a small "feature" :)
