As an addition to Finally paste the 'good' version into each of the folders You can use 'multi paste' ('Edit' - 'Paste Special...' - 'Multi paste') to paste one or a set of files into a host of folders that you have selected before multipasting. Those selected folders can be inside a Scrap container...

It's getting boring, the lists are quite similar: X2 (I might just as well put it in the startup-folder) Notepad++ Firefox Thunderbird Opera (depending on mood) FileZilla (anyone?) Pidgin Irfanview (Kilmatead, I don't know ACDsee, but Irfan is so fast) Renamer WinMerge OpenOffice (writer, calc, base...

I had this with a laptop I got from a former colleague. Couldn't figure out what exactly the problem was. Was there some font missing on this machine, some special 'windows-theme', or what? Turns out the font-dpi/size was tweaked. For me, I always spent a lot on higher screen-resolutions, also in th...

Hard to choose. The orange one doesn't go very well with the chaki. But the bright green with the chaki is, as we say in Dutch, a cursing combination.

Not sure what happened, ozzii. But I discovered an error in the script when working on networkpaths starting with '\\'. Therefore, exactly in the part which Kilmatead called "two steps forward, one step back", I had to change it. Dim objShell, filesys, selectedItemName, selectedItemPath, d...

Cheater. I curse you. I bet you knew I would actually agree with you, I also bet you knew that I would feel obliged to come up with something better, and that I would be going to sacriface my last bit of spare time on it. I bet you wear a malicious grin at the thought of that. I still thinking of w...

Although Kilmatead made it easy for me by telling me how to use the Shell object or WMI, I choose the easy way out. Move=Copy+DeleteTheSource. Quick and Dirty: Dim filesys, selectedItemName, selectedItemPath, destPathRoot, selectedItem, destFolder Set filesys=CreateObject("Scripting.FileSystemO...

Could it be the folder you tried to move, is locked? Like Kilmatead said, can you move it by other means of moving it?

I've tried this but I have a "acces refused" line 23 character 7. But the destination folder is deleted. If the destination folder doesn't exist I have an error in line 13 charac 10 I guess Kilmatead is right with hinting at the permissions of the folders involved. This script supposes fu...

I don't like to patronize people into not hiding extensions. But honestly, they shouldn't. If I wasn't against patronizing so much, I would capitalise that. What a confusing mess.
Incredible it is default in Windows.

Yes, please, strings. Would be much more useful, at least for me, than the ability to receive drag'n'dropped file objects.

One fairly small(?) wish I have: make the addressbar ready for drag and drop strings. Just like the Firefox addressbar.
Many times a day I receive paths to files on a fileserver by email, I'd like to easily navigate there, without the need for copy and paste actions.
