I think it's more of your editor settings. Say, Twistpad opens all files in one window w/o any tweaking. I'd suggest to check UE settings. Well, I also have a shortcut to UE in my SendTo folder, and if I select several files in an X2 window, right-click, and send them to UE it works as I expect. So...

External editor command: more flexibility wanted

The editor I use for my external editor (UltraEdit, a superb product BTW) will open multiple tabs if multiple files are given on the command line. However if I select multiple files in an X2 window and hit F4, what I get is multiple instances of UltraEdit each with one file. From this I assume (and ...

Well Nikos, there seems to be some energy around this topic!

I just want to note that I have found on Vista it is easy to undo an X2 operation by immediately right-clicking on the desktop and choosing Undo from that menu. As I recall this did not work on XP.

I was seeing it fairly frequently and with the new version I haven't seen it yet today. So to that precise scientific appraisal I would add the equally precise "I think it may be fixed" :)

Um, sorry, something else is going on. It's happening without having anything to do with icons (I've just been doing a lot of iconizing I guess). I don't know what's happening, but I see a "ghost" X2 process hanging around after I think I've exited... Any thoughts?

Icons! What fun! My toolbars are so beautiful now. :) I notice however that most (but not all) of the time when I've been fiddling with icon settings and close X2 I get a dialog saying "Some copy operations haven't finished yet. Shall we wait for them?" There are of course no copy operatio...

Yes, it is associated; and if I double-click a .pl file it executes.

User Commands: question and request

Several of my User Commands run Perl scripts which in turn run a Windows program. I have ".PL" in my PATHEXT environment variable and I can run these scripts in a DOS prompt by typing their names, as it should be. However if I try to invoke them as a Windows user command, e.g. ">foo.p...

I took a quick look at these tools, and my impression is that the functionality of StExBar is pretty much already available in xplorer2. You can create a User Command to open a command prompt at the current folder and put its icon on a toolbar. Copying paths to the clipboard is on the Edit menu. The...

It seems to be "test@test.com". I get the error with foo/test@test.com but not with test/foo@foo.com.

The error is HTML and seems to be coming from http://www.zabkat.com/feedback/taxydromeio.pl

TreeSize Pro also provides a shell extension that adds a "TreeSize" column to Explorer. Now that it is called to my attention, I see that column does not appear with Vista. TreeSize support says "Microsoft has officially confirmed that a similar extension of the Explorer is not possi...

Actually I see now that I can't "shell new" anything. I can use x2's "new file" or "new folder" just fine, and I can use winexp's "new" for anything. This is in a folder that I own, with full access rights. Just for laughs (not that it's funny :)) I tried runn...
