Re: Turn Off All Visual Filters With One Click

you could do it with a macro, enumerate all tabs, select them one by one and send VIEW > SHOW ALL command in a loop. The manual has a sample macro that works with tabs ( remove duplicate tabs )

Re: blog: solving the 15-puzzle fast (AI)

So it's like the time I wrote a Sudoku solver in Excel while I was home with the flu so you are one of us, an AI guy :) sudoku is a constraint satisfaction problem, combined with tree search, right? It is amazing how quickly a computer will solve the hardest sudoku puzzle. my very f...

Re: DR won't catalogue A&K Music Player

at present deskrule cannot do non-filesystem external devices
you can search for files in it while connected, but not as part of the offline database

Re: A simple way to toggle Tree > "Keep Synchronized With Folder In Active View Pane"

the tricky bit is operating the tab control, which isn't handled by the macro recorder

Code: Select all

COMMAND 32974 # options
WAITWND
findclass SysTabControl32
select 2 # page2
FINDWND "keep synchroni&zed"
SETCHECK 2 # flip
OK

Re: Show Thumbails In Groups by Creation Date

you can create your own custom groups with the dates you like. e.g. in this order 1. date created within 2021 2. date created within 2020 …. or any other rules you like. Use VIEW > ARRANGE BY > CUSTOM GROUP, then save it under CUSTOMIZE > CUSTOM GROUPS for the next version I plan to have something t...

Re: blog: test covid tests

every year half a million (worldwide) die of normal flu. This year I read that "in Greece nobody died of flu" . You draw your conclusions about the data (lies, damned lies and statistics) numbers ???), but the feeling governments were all ready to impose draconian restrictions at the drop of a hat l...

Re: blog: test covid tests

If this pandemic were so vicious and deadly the dead would be pilling up in the streets, the stench of death would be everywhere, yet it isn't. The stats for the death rate for under 50's says it all. :D my sentiments exactly! in Cyprus with more donkeys than people, I just don't know of anybody th...

Re: blog: test covid tests

I didn't say not to vaccinate people (although I won't be), I said its statistically idiotic to test everybody on a weekly basis, in general as sampling goes, and in particular because of the inaccuracy of the tests used.

Re: Resize menu bar?

see here for details: www.zabkat.com/blog/high-dpi-screen-toolbars.htm
make sure the large toolbar skin has the correct number of icons (must be for the current version) and it should be called x2skin_XL.png (rename it if necessary)

the tests are even less reliable on asymptomatic people, if you read the data. You may as well flip coins. It's that simple
