I thought the OP wanted to see only folders. (which the 5-step does) I overlooked using a wildcard filter (-*) to hide all files   I like the wildcard usage solution better than my suggestion because it is persistent: As the user navigates other folders in the given pane the filter remains in effect.

Actually, you CAN accomplish this with x2 Lite ... but it's a 5-step process each time you want to do it:

• Alt+J  [hide folders]
  Ctrl+A [select all]
  Alt+J  [unhide folders]
  num *  [invert selection]
  Ctrl+Alt+J [show selected]

voilà!

Assuming you already have the folder structure as an example (even if it's populated with content, such as from an existing project) you can easily duplicate the structure elsewhere without going to the trouble of making a list.  Just use the built-in x2 feature Edit > Paste special > Folder structu...

If what you mean is lasso selection ... it works for me on w7 x64. You just have to start the lasso marquee from whitespace. There is a minor difference in details view in that ... on XP the few empty pixels to the left of the item icon are treated as whitespace for initiating the lasso, but on w7, ...

I assume you are you using "size on disk" (not file size) so as to include unused bytes in allocated clusters. But have you, by any chance, fallen into the often confusing "what's a Gigabyte?" trap and mis-converted bytes to GB for any of the reported sizes along the way by multi...

Looks to me like you have a problem with your display driver.
I suspect other apps' windows will show similar issues.
Check to be sure that the driver and the settings you are using are compatible with your hardware for w7.

Compare the behavior of Windoze Explorer in list view.
If it's the same there's probably nothing else you can do.
(Except to either accept the situation or use another view style.)
