Browse For Folder dialog

A suggestion - how about a keystroke (perhaps Shift+F5/F6, or Ctrl/Shift) to go *directly* to the Browse For Folder when copying/moving files. And, in the Browse for Folder dialog, it would be handy if the focus would go directly to the folder tree, no tabbing required, with the focus on the folder ...

lvsExtendedStyle values?

Anybody have the values for lvsExtendedStyle? It controls quite a few things like tooltips, gridlines, etc. as indicated in alpha.txt. Nikos said in a post here that the values can be found in commctrl.h but I don't have that file on my system.

Aha ... full row selection would help me a lot I think. I must have turned it off when I edited lvsextendedstyle to get rid of tooltips. Man, I just had a scary experience. I was trying to restore full row selection, so I changed lvsextended style to 4431H instead of 4001H (what it was before). Then...

Using default WinXP color scheme ... active pane - white background; selected files are indicated by blue bar. inactive pane - beige background; selected files are indicated by slightly darker beige bar. But what is there to indicate what file has the focus (in details view), as distiniguished from ...

focused file in active pane - make more conspicuous?

I often confuse the active and inactive panes, even though they are different colors. I think it's because my eyes follow the focused file more than anything else. And the focused file in the inactive pane is more conspicuous than in the active pane! (1) the marquee in the inactive pane surrounds al...

pathname bar over pane - suggestion (x2 52)

In the bar over the pane where the path name appears, e.g.

c:\first\second\third\fourth\fifth

It would be nice if double clicking on the word "third" took me to:

c:\first\second\third

And double-clicking on the word "first" took me to:

c:\first

And so on.

That did the trick - thanks. I wasn't sure whether that reg value was for the preview window or for the thumbnails, but I guess the value name should have been a big hint. I am a little puzzled about the need for a file size limit. I figured x2 would just use the same thumbnail functions as Explorer...

x2 48 - no thumbnails for some (large?) pics

I notice that I'm not getting a thumbnail for some pics in x2 thumbnail view. It seems to be the pics with a large file size, mostly those I have saved in PNG format. Searching other messages I found a reference to nMaxFileSizeThumb - does this registry value need to be set to generate a thumb for t...

Ah ok. I'm used to keeping Ctrl depressed so long as I'm making a selection of non-contiguous files. Now I have to release the Ctrl key to press the space key to select a non-contiguous file, and then press Ctrl again to move to the next file - otherwise I lose the selection when I move the cursor! ...

x2 - Ctrl-Space

Ctrl-Space isn't working for selecting non-contiguous files. I just get a ding from my speaker. Tried Ctrl-Ins too, doesn't work either. Can we still do this with the keyboard? Seems like it was working in earlier versions of x2, too bad I deleted earlier versions, I could have tested!

Hi Stook -

Ctrl+Shift+C will take you to root of C.

Ctrl+Shift+D will take you to root of D.

I like Shift+Bksp, fits well with Ctrl+Bksp, but I guess we'll have to wait on that.

x2 45 Shift+Bksp please

Sure would like to see Shift+Bksp to go to root folder of current drive! Meanwhile, Ctrl+Shift+(current drive letter) does the same thing.

Is there a list of keyboard shortcuts currently implemented on x2?

thanks

gridlines bug - xplorer2 0.0.0.44

I'm still getting the "gridlines bug" in details view with 0.0.0.44. When I scroll using the mouse wheel, the gridlines don't scroll properly, and the gridlines end up going through the text (filenames, etc.) I don't have the gridlines bug problem with 2xExplorer 1.4.1.12. thanks as usual ...

Thumbnail view would be great - to have to panes, each displaying thumbnails, to move back and forth.  As I understand it Nikos' problem is that thumbnail view isn't a part of the list control box.  But if this can be figured out, it would be great, particularly if x2 could use the Thumbs.db file al...

BRX - it depends on the Windows color scheme that you're using.  With the "bar highlight" used to identify selected files in both the active pane and inactive pane, if one is using the "bar highlight" as the cue for the active pane (which for some reason I tend to do), then one c...
