Re: Keyboard focus indication in the folder I opened 1st tim
OK, here's the video: https://drive.google.com/folderview?id=0B7jNcXFCV0xdaFROdkxCX3FmNWc&usp=sharing X2-Mouse.mp4: 1. Hands off keyboard 2. Launched X2 by mouse-clicking the icon in taskbar 3. You'll see the selection appearing on "random" files - I was doing Ctrl-Down a few times, th...

Re: Keyboard focus indication in the folder I opened 1st tim
Well, the problem is that if I opened x2 with the mouse and then started using the keyboard, 2.x would start showing the focus rect, whilst 3.x keeps not showing it.
I'll try to record a repro.

Re: Keyboard focus indication in the folder I opened 1st tim
Additional part of the repro: X2 should be started with mouse, do not touch keyboard until it is fully started. I think it might be a side effect of "hide focus rectangle unless keyboard is used" feature (whatever the name is), but I've not seen it messing up the focus rectangle like that ...

Re: Keyboard focus indication in the folder I opened 1st tim
It's 8.1 (and W10 preview) and 3.x only.
Ctrl-Down doesn't show anything.

Keyboard focus indication in the folder I opened 1st time
Hey Nikos, In 3.x on 8.1 behavior of the keyboard focus indicator in panels have changed. Repro: start x2 (so it would not recall which folders you had visited); switch to List style; in the folder with sub-folders with keyboard open one of the sub-folders with Enter. Observe that there's no indicat...

Re: the time is nigh... v3 BETA
Is it possible to add user commands to a Quick Access toolbar one-by-one? I kind of like the fact that I can minimize Ribbon now, but I still want to invoke some of my user commands quickly, like I can with the current toolbar. BTW, I'd argue that user commands should NOT be in a "gallery"...

Re: New autofilter behavior when selecting multiple files
xplorer2 doesn't use windows hotkey control because it is limited. Instead it uses an edito control and subclasses it to do the job of a hotkey control. It looks like readonly because if it was default enabled edit control you could type in whatever you wanted Well, if you subclass it to accept ver...

Well, Shortcut field in Properties of any file shortcut looks proper.

Re: New autofilter behavior when selecting multiple files
BTW, Nikos, the field "Press new shortcut key" in Customize keyboard dialog should be white (or whatever the default normal window color is), not gray. Currently it looks disabled (gray in stock Windows color schema).

Re: New autofilter behavior when selecting multiple files
Thanks for the pointers! ...the choice of where to search should really drop down on Ctrl-Down, as it less useful in this situation. When in the filterbar, simply pressing <Down> will already drop the options (if that's what you're referring to) :?. Unless, perhaps, you have an addiction to the <Ctr...

Re: New autofilter behavior when selecting multiple files
Now that I think more about the autofilter - it's a great little feature until the autologic gets in the way unexpectedly :) I'd rather have one more option for it - no auto, but a hotkey that would get me in the field (Ctrl-E in Explorer) with the condition that Tab, Enter or Up/Down get me back to...

Re: New autofilter behavior when selecting multiple files
The keyword is "pressed very fast": releasing Ctrl in order to safely press Ins defeats the purpose, no?

New autofilter behavior when selecting multiple files
So, I'm in this folder, trying to select a bunch of files with the keyboard: Ctrl-Down, Ctrl-Space, Ctrl-Down, Ctrl-Space, Ctrl-Down, Ctrl-Space, Ctrl-Down, Ctrl-Space, Ctrl-Down, Ctrl-Space, Ctrl-Down, Ctrl-Space (the sequence must be pressed very fast) - my cursor jumps to the autofilter input lin...

Re: Unique name for Ctrl-B batch file, please
Aw, don't give me that! I usually remember about this quirk when I run the second batch command, not before that.
