CNSZU i have to admit i think it is i who am stupid - i failed to consider complications to the scenario of moving files on the same partition such as you mention, and concede that in such cases the windows mechanism is indeed insufficient. i can understand your wish for a robust method in xplorer2,...

sorry, maybe i was expecting too much from xplorer2. i think the point here which fuxs explained is that to move a folder from one place to another on the same partition does not actually require moving any files at all... only the information that describes the location of the folder need change. ...
