Re: Can you save panes?

Greetings--
A workaround is to save Desktop shortcuts with appropriate command-lines like
xplorer2_UC.exe "pane 1" "pane 2"
"pane 1" and "pane 2" being saved folder groups.

Greetings--
Try the following:

Searching text (2)

Greetings--
Maybe xplorer² Pro could make copies of the target files, one after the other, either in memory or in a temp folder? In this way, the search would still be possible.
Cheers

Searching text

Greetings--
xplorer² Pro does not find text when the search string is located in a file that is currently open in its associated application.
Is there any way round this, or do I have to close all files before searching text in them?
Thanks for any answer.
Cheers

I would like to check what file are to be updated. Greetings-- I can suggest the following workaround: 1. Open your local folder on t...

Saving folder settings

Greetings– On “the other side”, I usually need entirely different folders. I would be very happy if the command-line allowed me to launch xplorer² with dual sets of multiple panes or folder groups. As far as I am concerned, this would be a most convenient one-click method. Alternatively, the “Custom...

Saving folder settings

Greetings– I also would appreciate being able to bookmark multiple dual sets of panes, even multiple dual sets of multiple panes. But this is not currently available from the xplorer² GUI. I am using a makeshift method. You could create as many shortcut icons on your desktop as you need dual sets of...

FTP Upload

I switched both "Enable FTP folder View" and "Use passive mode" on. It worked a treat. Great help, Nikos! Thank you very much. It is now a breeze to synchronize local and FTP folders. Synch Touch is most invaluable with FTP folders. Much more practical than Total Commander. Cheer...

FTP Upload

Greetings-- I am aware that FTP support is not a priority but I thought maybe someone could help. I can access a password-protected FTP folder using Windows Explorer, Total Commander, or RightFTP. But I never can using xplorer² Pro. I systematically get a message from Windows (?) saying that I might...

Dr Watson

Greetings– There are actually 2 Dr Watson under XP. One is “C:\WINDOWS\system32\drwatson.exe”. It is the “legacy” Dr Watson from older versions of Windows. It has no GUI. It only outputs a log file. The other is “C:\WINDOWS\system32\drwtsn32.exe”. It is a more recent version with a GUI. From the GUI...

Re: FTP ASCII mode

ASCII is the default mode.

Have a look at the following pages:

http://www.nsftools.com/tips/MSFTP.htm#ascii
http://journals.iucr.org/cww-top/int.ftp.line.html
http://www.computerhope.com/software/ftp.htm

Note that you can enter the FTP command-line directly into the Maxthon Address Bar.
