Re: Comments Question ... for folders
xplorer2 crashes on MSVCR100.dll, which is not one of its dlls, which means one of your shell extensions are to blame. I'll take a wild guess and ask you if you have a tool called SYNERGY installed? I had a few crash reports about it recently Nikos, No, no Synergy. But I do use UltraMon for handlin...

Re: Comments Question ... for folders
Nikos, I have had semi-regular "sudden death" crashes to three programs over the last few months. Delphi 7 crashes because it's old, I've tinkered with it to extremes, and so much of it's deprecated that it's a miracle I can GET it to run. Pale Moon (an off-shoot on the late, lamented, sel...

Re: Comments Question ... for folders
In trying to follow through with sending the crash information to Nikos, I got THIS cheerful little message: There is no crash dump file for this program version. So, naturally being a peon on the service of m'lord, I went back and caused it to crash in the time-honoured manner. Got the xplorer2 - e...

Comments Question ... for folders
Hi all, I have been reorganizing things around the ol' home network. The original backup drive is approaching capacity AND warranty end. It's a BAAAAD combination. So, more storage is hitting the NAS boxes. Which has prompted the re-organization. PART of what I wanted to do is to indicate just how R...

Re: Help with a FastCopy user command
I haven't been using FastCopy, so I downloaded the 64-bit version and installed. The command line that FrizzleFry shows does not work for me - It pops up the "Usage" dialog box. I have it in my "User Commands". For example, the "Move" command line is: >"P:\Program...

Re: Help with a FastCopy user command
Thank you. I appreciate the quick response. Evidently this is an already-discussed topic. I searched for "TeraCopy" & "FastCopy" but must have missed that discussion. I usually use the RobustCopy/Move, so I won't be turning it Off. But sometimes, when copying file(s) that ar...

Re: Help with a FastCopy user command
The advantage of using /srcfile="$>" rather than $A is that you do not have worry about command line length which could be a problem when passing multiple fully qualified path/file names. The $A and $S tokens add quotes as necessary... none of the other tokens do this. I'm not sure what y...

Re: Help with a FastCopy user command
Never having used FastCopy, a quick perusal (and yes, I tested it just to be sure) of the command-line options shows it to be straightforward. To use the "listfile" approach with FastCopy, you'd basically use: > {...}FastCopy.exe /srcfile="$>" /to="C:\Nikos Foments Discord ...

Help with a FastCopy user command
Hi all, Whilst I am setting myself up for once more playing the joker to Kilmatead's King, here I go admitting my (un)blissful ignorance. I have, over the last little while, developed a rather disconcerting habit. I right drag, as is my regular routine, folders from my NAS drives to an external driv...

Re: Wrangling the right-click context menu
Quadruple sigh. Even before reading this last little item, I yanked all the programs that did little bits and pieces of the job I wanted, including Shell Toys. With the exception of FileMenu Tools. I managed to create a totally discombobulated environment and decided to leave well enough alone. And ...

Re: Wrangling the right-click context menu
A Sigh of relief and understanding. Well, maybe the test shall go on. As for the young'un, who is, indeed, taller than me and has been for four years, her mother named her for her angelic face and I am powerless before her. Unless she's prattling on about or actually holding one of her beloved cats....

Re: Wrangling the right-click context menu
Double sigh. I had gone ahead and downloaded the Shell Toys and spent a few minutes, whilst on the phone, fooling around with it. Not EXACTLY what I want, but in the ballpark. (And one of my clients decided I needed a Christmas Bonus early for having lived this year and still managed to provide them...

Re: Wrangling the right-click context menu
Sigh... I remember looking at Shell Toys back in the day before stumbling on MMM+, which did exactly what I wanted. The 'toys' part of the program did nothing for me since I had a well-stocked toychest of utility applets by that point. I never did suffer Vista, but was disappointed when MMM+ didn't ...

Wrangling the right-click context menu
Hi all, Been away a bit thanks to some health issues that I seem to be handling (double cataract surgery followed by a bout in hospital with blood clots in the lungs). I know you missed me, Kilmatead. Here's another chance to impress me with your brilliance. I have a right-click context menu ...

Re: I'm slow, but now so's the computer. HELP!!
Nikos, I do keep a diary of things I install (try and then uninstall) and I use the Pro version of Revo Uninstaller Pro. PLUS, I never run the default install, since all apps are installed to my E:\apps folder and I try ... not always successfully ... to make sure no 'bonus' crap ends up on the syst...
