Hi, regarding point 1, I mean the existence of an option to back up file comments regularly to an archive. I agree that backing up shouldn't be done continuously or automatically as it may affect performance noticeably. That sounds better :) But maybe then it can be solved whith an external utility...

The idea sounds nice, but it must be very easy to swithc the behaviour (keyboard?). I almost never use the expanded tree, I almost never use the tree manager at all, it is not visible. But using tabs, two panes, a new instance, it is not necesarry at all to use the tree pane for copying files to ano...

Re: Xplorer2 Feature Enhancements

Hi Nikos, I was thinking about 2 possible enhancements to Xplorer2: Backing Up File Comments Enlarging File Comment Window The second one I like. If this is possible, it must be possible in xplorer2 too. But the first sounds impossible to me. How must you recognize that a file is copied back to you...

no speed gain was advertised, no? but it gives you more options and handles errors much more "robustly" Yes, I know and it was mentioned before by you that there was no speed gain, but I had the impression that it was faster, so I had to test it. :) And my impression was wrong . Ind...

Robust Transfer: Timings

Because I was curious :P , I did sometimings. I used a directory on my laptop which is 109Mb big, existing of 129 folders and 1793 files. Robust transfer, first time: 1:10. But the first time doesn't count. The copy is done to an empty directory (directory is removed after the copy process) Robust t...

just thing how long ctrl+D takes to figure out sizes when you execute this command from somewhere high up, e.g. C:\
But I don't often copy such an huge volume at all. So maybe a registry tweak or an option on the robust copy screen?

2. (I know somebody who'll jump on this thread like a hyena :)) the estimated remaining time is a very rough estimate. It doesn't do subfolders until such folders are entered into. So the initial estimate can be way off but gradually it gets better as more folders are resolved. Is it not as easy as...

Re: What happens when...

you create a directory in 1 pane then alt+c that directory and go to the other pane and paste that path into the address bar to get both panes with the same directory ... That sounds like a Control-I action to me :D> Why take the long way. The nice part of your message is, that I wasn't aware of th...
