ok now i remember
i had problems with them for "flat" or "find" commands
x2 would get into an infinite recursion since that moronic namespace extension would enumerate the same folder again and again at arbitrary depths. She rubbish! :)

this is a weird & wicked extension which doesn't agree with x2 at all
i bet if you try it with 2x it will crash when you get in subfolders!

i have seen this happening with m$ office
e.g. the first time you open a xls file then all's fine but if excel is already open it won't pop upfront. It is indeed a system thing

this color is meant to be a system color but doesn't always work as you've seen
there is going to be a registry tweak to select any color you want

i tried to find such links from MSDN but to no avail
m$ recommends people to install IE instead
some users will detest such tactics, especially when x2 for them is a ticket out of (IE)explorers in the first place!

i could easily paste the same code from 2x to x2 but that old folder data nail will seem out of place! I would like to have a properly improved version but almost certainly this will miss the first version to go out

are you expecting a discount after all this? ;) the full version will be free to try after all, so people will get the hang of it if they want. I can't understand how giving scraps away from free will increase sales of a "pro" version that is basically the same thing? anyway, as a reality ...

well at least you can use the "windows" name column and get the warm feeling of folders sorted like the "good old days" :)

only if you type c: in the addressbar (without the backslash)
there's no keyboard equivalent

proper lexicographic sort is much slower and i don't see the point really
as long as you get a consistent behaviour, why bother?

unfortunately you can't for the moment
even if you could, the password would get in the way so it wouldn't work
if i manage to figure out how IE's ftp accepts passwords ...

it depends whether you have the active desktop upgrade
shell32.dll and especially comctl32.dll should be version 4.70 or better
otherwise, no toolbars!
