At least Brig didn't mention Charles Darwin, Melville Dewey and Madalyn Murray O'Hare.  That "trinity" of more commonly familiar names -- at least here in the States -- would have definately stirred the pot!

And a warm "He is risen indeed!" to everyone else!

Bablefish appears to be a little weak in the English -> Greek -> English department (with some humerous 360 translation results), and  Freetranslation doesn't handle Greek.  How does "hello" become "Geja'soy"? :? I'm going to honeymoon in Crete in October and I was hoping to get ...

That's a "feetur" I've noticed as well.  It can slow things down when the last selected item is a 40MB DWG file that Autocad takes about 5 minutes to load.

A fix or workaround would be very much appreciated! :D

Edit : >editor2_UC.exe This works I believe your "fix" will stop working once you execute any program from within XPLORER2 that will cause it to change the CWD somewhere else. To check, press F10 [enter] and see what the current path is when you first start up XPLORER2.  The CWD should be...

No worries, just puzzled.

I didn't try that with the first files as they were reference (.PDF) files.

The file I just tried was indeed hard-linked.  Edited the file in folder B, file in folder A changed.  Links still at 1 in both folders.

x2 has a "stock" column called "links'. Activate it (using ALT+K command) (details view only). Now you will see how many links the item has. By default, each file starts its life with 1 link. When you add a hard link to it anywhere (on the same NTFS disk), the count goes up. When you...

... and boy to I miss it today at work -- I left my thumb drive with x2 portable at home today <sniff>.

Johngalt,

My sincere apologies for misinterpreting your intensions.

I feel very strongly about rewarding people for their (good) work - which conversely is why I try to find alternatives to most Microsoft-developed software.

Longfellow, Have you tried creating folder groups for the different projects?  They can't be used in scrap but I use them to access the (many) different folders across multiple servers that apply to the current project.   To quickly switch between projects, I assigned ctrl-G to the Folder Group -> M...

I'm trying to copy a file to the same folder, and have not found a way in x2. In WE, highlight a file, ctrl-C, ctrl-V creates another file named "Copy of "with the original file name and extension. Trying the same thing in x2 only gets an error dialog.  Robust copy (F5) doesn't do anything...

Using the portable version at work, I have something I'm puzzled about.  I've flattened an network folder containing about 40K files in 2K folders into a scrap container.  I applied a ctrl-J visual filter "161" and sorted the resulting 900 items by Name.  The list of files is different tha...
