Didn't find much in x2settingseditor to help differentiate the inactive and active folder panes. Maybe I missed something. There is a setting to put an orange bar on top of the active tab, but both inactive and active panes have an active tab. Nikos' tip to change the color of the pane header is v...

how distinguish active and inactive panes in Vista?
Hi gang. I'm just getting started with my new Vista box. I like the Vista UI and default color scheme, but I'm having difficulty distinguishing the active pane from the inactive pane. On XP, one could distinguish active and inactive panes by (1) color of pane header; (2) background color of fold...

xplorer2 named in pc mag 16th annual best utilites
xplorer2 is listed in the April issue of PC Magazine, 16th annual utility guide.
The article gives a URL, but it's not working yet for me - for some reason the website lags behind the printed magazine.

Congratulations.

ttf viewer?
I don't suppose there is a way to view fonts (typically TTF files) in the Quick Previewer window?

change default audio previewer?
Is there anyway to change the program that is used for previewing WAV files? From what I've read so far it seems the answer is no. I was thinking I might do better if I could use something other than Windows Media Player to preview WAV files. For one thing, some of my sounds get clipped when I pre...

My Robust transfer window failed to close again. Here's what it looks like. Any clues here? I notice that the C:\WINDOWS\Resources\Themes directory isn't listed in the error log - only the subdirectories of that directory - in other words the STARTING source and destination folders aren't listed -...

robust transfer stays open after copy
The robust transfer window frequently stays open after I do a copy. The "Keep this window open at the end of transfer" box isn't checked.

PS - Somewhere in the deep recesses of the past or a former OS, I recall being able to show a directory date as that of its most recent file or subdirectory. ? hmmm... Don't know about that, but with WinXP and NTFS, I think the folder's Last Modified timestamp is changed whenever the contents (file...
