I'm of the tribe that thinks it's supposed to flatten the first level of folders.  (Though I do admit, two desktop.ini's is rather amusing, and an obvious problem with flattening things.) I don't want X2 to flatten library root the way it currently does. X2 should flatten AND turn on automatic grou...

Actually couple of years back, I tried *real* hard to get locked tab implemented in X2.

Unfortunately I was not able to convince Nikos.

Actually, if you observe carefully its not exactly flat view of all the files in Windows explorer. Its flat view with grouping always enabled.

In Win7, windows explorer supports grouping in all the modes including list view.

Noticed one minor bug. Navigation of libraries works as expected, but when I add them to Bookmarks and launch the bookmark it displays library content as a flat list. You can also repro this problem by directly pasting the library path in the address bar e.g. ::{031E4825-7B94-4DC3-B131-E946B44C8DD5}...

Hi Nikos, I tested libraries on the latest build. They work as expected and now I don't have to launch explorer for managing them. Thanks for fixing this. One minor issue of "set save location" still exists but unless it's a simple fix don't bother about fixing it. Set save location: If a ...

You can also try View > Raw View from menu for this folder. It will show you the actual internal folder structure of the GAC. I find this feature useful if I want to copy an assembly off this folder. Unfortunately RAW View option does not stick if you try to navigate up in folder hierarchy. Not sure...

Download MenuPlusPlus.zip from the first post. Follow the install instructions in the readme.txt. Display.ini included in the zip file has example of creating bookmarks for C:\program files and C:\Windows folders. Menu++ allow you to open bookmark in a new tab which X2 doesn't allows you to do. BTW,...

I meant the contents of "Go to > Special folders" menu should be user configurable. I would like to have %appdata% and few other Win7/Vista specific folders in that list.

Nikos, can we have list of special folders configurable in registry? Since Win7 there are few more folders that I would like to see in this group. We would not bother you again for the new special folders that we would like in Win8 :-)

Yes you can use autohotkey with X2. Menuhack and Menu++ are example of some of Autoit/autohotkey scripts that Nikos mentioned in his blog.

I haven't used  ac'tivAid, but I think you may have to make some changes to its source to make it work with X2.

I have to say that I liked how it was before -- xplorer2 shows all hidden files and folders EXCEPT the super-hidden ones.  It would be nice if you brought this functionality back. +1 .    I would not like to see desktop.ini or AlbumArt_{A0D38F88-E8B9-46F7-B4FB-6BD1A73DA909}_Small.jpg album art thum...

But what path is active in the other pane?  My thought is simply that the path active in the pane, for each pane, be recorded by Xplorer2 itself as the path in the pane changes. Yes, Xplorer2 is not automation friendly and you have to resort to hacks to get things done. I use following code to extr...
