...upon Wakeup from Sleep... Nice, might come in handy sometime with my HTPC - thanks! ...but I had more fun figuring out how to do it manually rather than actually having a practical purpose for it at the time.  (I'm easily amused.) And behold - you've discovered the Meaning of Life!!!   8)...

Xplorer² Layout Organization

Simple question for those who'd like to share their system - how do you use Xplorer²'s Layout feature?

StartUp, LogOn, LogOff, and ShutDown Scripts

Windows (and other OSes) lets you run scripts when it starts or stops, or when a user logs on or off.  I use the StartUp & LogOn events to configure my RamDisk, but that's mainly for historical reasons (the RamDisk software I used to use didn't have a Windows Service option) . Does anybody use t...

Nikos - thoughts?

I'd be happy to help provide some additional information as to when the infamous false-0 occurs, if needed.

...Design and art are paramount,... Wait, I thought you were against the guy's artistic desktop?  Surely, if you value art, then you can understand how different people can appreciate different forms of art.  While you may not really like that guy's 3D desktop, I would still think that you'd recogn...

Re: focus file on copy

Is it possible to have the focus (on the right pane) on the file we copied/moved... I don't think so, sorry :'( ...(Just like windows explorer does) Windows Explorer has a dual-pane view mode??  heh... RightClick dragging between windows does do this, but that's mostly because the dragOver the seco...

Re: Scroll through tabs?

...scroll through opened tabs? I know I can currently use Ctrl+Alt+Left/Right to navigate through tabs, but mouse scrolling support would be nice too... You can customize the keyboard shortcut from Window -> Customize Keyboard -> Miscellaneous (33038, 33039), however, it does not look like you can ...

Re: GUI's Bring Out the Worst in Human Creativity...

Is it me (getting old), or is this kind of interface nonsense just nuts?...Or do you have to be 13 years old to appreciate it fully? I think it's cool.  The purpose of these fancy GUIs is to look fancy so that we can make a neat YouTube video out of it and maybe impress some friends with what you w...

Re: I have repeatedly tried to figure out what W7 Libraries

...the reason I think I am complaining is Libraries sure take up a lot of screen space and don’t seem to be that useful to me, and you can’t hide them without some sort of registry hack. While I happen to love my Win7, Libraries are indeed quite a wash, particularly for power users. They are useful...

I started programming mainly as a hobby while in High School and early in college - scripting stuff in my quest to customize Windows 98 or automate tasks.  I will label Gaming as the gateway drug, as I grew up on NES and an IBM 80386. Half way through college, I decided that my comparative advantage...

Regex Renamer

I'm late to this party, so I'll just add that RegexRenamer has worked wonders for me.

If you know and love Regular Expressions like me, then it's awesome, but if you don't, stick to 1 of the other thousands of renamer apps out there.
