Re: beta version 450.14
what's the default HTML browser on this system? It's actually Microsoft Edge. Sorry I may have misread what was going on. I thought X2 occasionally used the default browser to open some of it's help files. I think think that might have been a problem with the PDF reader which I actually set right.

Re: beta version 450.14
I'm reading a lot about not using Internet Explorer as your default browser. I have the opposite problem, I share this computer with someone and they use IE, but not xplorer2 so I would like to set x2 to open stuff in Firefox the browser I use. I confess I'm not trying out the Beta, but I've been wo...

Re: new beta version 4407
can you give me an example how you want a name renamed in titlecase? How does xplorer2 know of the beginning of words? What happens is I get files that have names like the following when I download images. photo-0509-2013-chillicothe-ohio-city-sign First, in this example I'm going to have replace t...

Re: new beta version 4407
[P] mass renaming change case of filenames to UPPER or lower, using the MODE drop-down box. In this mode you cannot make any changes to the name other than its case. The looks like something I've wanted for years, but what I've always really needed is Title Case. I can't even see a use for ALL CAPS...

Re: blog: rinse filenames
The Windows 10 explorer will show a little popup when you try to add these characters to a filename: \ / : ? * " < > | I think it's total bullocks that Windows can't be programmed to allow these characters in file names. It's a friggin computer and will do whatever it's told. The number of tim...

xplorer² highlight search text in Native view
I've got a small suggestion for xplorer². Could xplorer² also highlight the search text in the previews for Search results in Native view? xplorer² currently only highlights text in the Draft view. Highlighting text in Native view, makes it easier to find the text I want to change after I open the f...

Re: blog: large folder speed
Here’s something I don’t understand. I spend most of my time in the Documents folder and if I have Details view and Calculate folder size on I guess it’s reasonable to expect a short lag the first time I open it. What I don’t understand is why if I navigate into a subfolder, and I then navigate back...

Advanced Query Syntax missing in Windows File Explorer and Word 2013 legacy Open dialog Search boxes
I recently installed some Windows updates and now Advance Query Syntax is missing from the Search boxes in Windows File Explorer and the Word 2013 legacy Open dialog boxes I can no longer limit searches by date (create:, modified:, ect) or click and summon that little drop down calendar to use anymo...

Make macro toggle between two commands
I would like to make a macro to attach to a button, that toggles between a specific filter applied by a macros and Show All. Click once to apply filter macro, click again to turn it off with Show All. It's a little bit of finesse I've been thinking of doing, but may be more trouble than it's worth. ...

I've been been trying this beta out and appreciate the changes you made. I'll keep playing with, but I get the feeling we are getting close to the final release.

Re: xplorer2 4308 beta
Okay you asked for it. * Ctrl+mousewheel changes thumbnail size as well as view styles, so you can easily view huge thumbnail previews I’ve noticed something about how this works in folder windows. If I scroll down a long list of thumbnails and want to change the thumbnail size, the window jumps all...

Re: xplorer2 4308 beta
As for unhiding, there's no way to unhide using the menu, since the folder is hidden so you cannot click on it I was thinking you could "Unhide this folder" when it reappears after you uncheck "Use blacklist." If this is hard to implement, I suggest a warning box along the lines...

Re: xplorer2 4308 beta
“I can do the button focus, but not sure about the name. Some people may remember the path portion only. Perhaps a registry tweak to limit just for names?” About button focus, to be clear the behavior I’m thinking of is the “find next” gets focus only if you click in the text entry box otherwise th...

* all organize dialogs (bookmarks etc) come with a filter box to locate an entry quickly by keyword. Click on FIND NEXT button to select the next matching list item. Double-click on the item found to edit or activate it. Despite your instructions to click FIND NEXT, I know a little time will pass a...

Re: xplorer2 4308 beta
* The folder tree shows some folders twice, and some that people seldom use. You can hide folders you don't need using the tree context menu (xplorer² > HIDE THIS FOLDER) on the unwanted folders. To show all folders again right click on the tree background and tick off USE BLACKLIST menu option. No...
