yes, that's a problem with the present x2, I'll deal with it shortly
in the meantime you can use the command line to create folders by typing in the addressbar something like:

$ mkdir "new folder"

this is a "feature" of the present version most of the folders in the windows directory that have the system attribute set are "weird" so they are not considered part of the filesystem by x2, that's why the create file/folder commands are disabled i'll have to think of something ...

column selection will come of course i don't use detailed view so it's not a personal priority :) still the most important columns are well placed, especially if the panes are arranged top/bottom -- a small consolation there! for gridlines, just delete the lvsExtendedStyle registry values and you'll...

the keystroke is Ctrl+Shift+5
make sure you press everything at once and the 5 comes from the main keyboard
then you'll get a confirmation message on the status bar

what you observe is the default behaviour of windows list control, which interprets a "slow double click" (i.e. clicking twice) to initiate a rename. To avoid this you can click on the icon bit (or some other item), and the rename will not occur.

nice try anyway! :)

its "safe" but I can't guarantee it! i use it all the time myself, and other than a few crashes now and then i haven't lost any files -- yet :) compared to 2x it already has more features but at the same time lacks a large chunk of the functionality and conveniences. It won't be ready for ...

have you tried xplorer2?
off my head, since the fault happens with right-click too, this looks like a problem with the real player. I expect that other filemanagers (except explorer) will also stumble...
