Re: Windows 11 and Multimonitor Issue

I never could figure out why - and sometimes it did just work as expected. Of course, I'm also running Windows 11 Pro, and it does things weirdly to begin with. Re: Hurricane Ian

Lol. Here in Atlanta, it's not *too* bad - no ice storm like out west.

It's gonna be 26 tonight, but that is the coldest it gets for the next 10 days. So, basically about normal for this time of year here.

Re: who has lots of movies?

Yeah, noticed that when I made it down to the 'other apps' forums lol.

I'll play with it over the weekend. FWIW, I have a 1 TB NVMe SSD that is almost 90% full of (mostly) .FLAC and .MP3 (106 GB free / 931 GB total), and that should give a good basis for testing for music stuff.

Re: Windows 11 and Multimonitor Issue

Ahh, sorry, I assumed it was a personal device, not a managed device. Then, yes, you're stuck with doing it only for your own login - which is all that really matters, eh? FWIW - I fought with this for almost a year as I slowly transitioned from my pair of old 1080p monitors to having a triplet of 4...

Polar vortex also doing some crazy things now, about to get yet another cold snap my way - the last one around Christmas brought 7 degree weather (aka -15 deg C fo...

Sweet! Thank you, Nikos! This will make fixing all those stupid music files I recovered from a partially formatted drive much, much simpler!

N1ck1 wrote: 2023 Jan 31, 14:13 Yes I will share! Even though the script is done for my personal needs, I'm adding in everything I can possibly think of for others which will take some more time; Not too much longer though, days probably.
Sweet! Thank you!

Ahhh. Then his analysis may be more on point!

Did they ever change their minds, especially when 'discovering' the variances?

Re: blog: 90 sunsets

Hi Nikos, This is due to what is called the Equation of Time. Here is from Sunrise and Sunset Times Lag Behind Sunrise and Sunset Times Lag Behind The shortest day of the year is commonly associated with the latest sunrise and earliest sunset of the year. However, in most locations, the earliest su...

Re: blog: 90 sunsets

so now I must do the equivalent sunrise experiment to be certain :) Naturally. And I hope that you've instilled enough curiosity and creativity in your kids that they, too, are eager to run another set of experiments and find out the real values. How cool or uncool are temperatures before sunrise i...
