Re: build 5001 released

Lo l - no one does. That's why βeta testing exists. And why developers rely on user feedback. Even when it is worded with angst. Some people's "angst" is another person's "passion". I've stated time and again x2 is the ONLY program I use on every computer I have owned since I bo...

As a neo-AHK user, can you please post the code you use with AHK to silence the Quickview window? -------------- PJ in FL This is a portion of a larger script that uses XButton1 to close or minimize any window under the mouse as appropriate. For a hand full of programs, I want minimize, and for som...

Re: build 5001 released

do you have a "proper" program registered for emails, or is it through your internet browser? anyway, the automatic attachment only works for clients like outlook and the like... I use 4 or 5 computers and two phones on a regular basis, and because I use browser based emails I can access ...

Re: build 5001 released

Well, I just CRASHED! Running 5.0.0.1 ultimate on Win 8.1. So like a good denizen of these depths, I thought, "Send the crash info to Nikos!". Press Help > Crash Information and, instead of a window with esoteric text that I can save and attach to an email, I'm greated with a window from M...

Re: Dropbox and color tag

I JUST LOVE IT when you drop little truth bombs... X button does close, ... but that doesn't save all settings ... Which of the following close methods are assured to save all settings: - Click the "X" on right end of title bar? - Press ALT-F-X? - Click FILE, click EXIT? - Press ALT-F4? - ...

Re: of waters and winds

A sail functions exactly like a aircraft wing but vertical and floppy, same dynamics and formula apply. water is just more dense than air hence the drag coefficients are vastly different but the principles are the same. ... Sorry but sails are driven by direct pressure, not via Bernoulli’s Principl...

... Yay, after a decade of radio silence, I have a bug kill. I have already vaccinated myself against this viral bug with an Autohotkey exception for the WTL_QuickView class window. Re: are you a ribbon or menu person?

... One of the reasons why I bought SoftMaker Office years ago. The newest versions allow me to choose a ribbon bar... but I don’t. :D I'm addicted to Excel/VBA. Not going to throw all that away to learn Python or other languages for automation. I've created entire applications (simple ones!) using...

Re: are you a ribbon or menu person?

I have been forced to accept the ribbon on M$ crap but I'll avoid them everywhere else if at all possible.

I'm still willing to contribute to the funding to take a hit out on the person or persons that came up with the "ribbon" UI.

Re: Autoresize name column is not working

"Statistically". Hmmmm.... Well, if you're going for an "A" which in my experience was only a paltry 90% or better, then getting a 90% confidence level that a fixed sample of 80 will get you the widest filename means the population can only be 111 or less. If you're happy with a ...

Re: Autoresize name column is not working

which NAME column do you have selected, is it the [S]tock title column or something else? also note that xplorer2 doesn't check 1000 names to figure out a width, it does up to 80 I think and whichever has the longer name gives the width to the column. So chances are that the size is too small for s...
