Re: Dual Pane to Single to Dual Loses the Configuration
I use folder groups on a regular basis to save bottom/right pane configurations. It's the times when I haven't saved the pane config and accidentially hit ctrl-O(uch) by mistake that are the issue. Deleting the configuration information seems extreme. Again, can the program save the configuration an...

Dual Pane to Single to Dual Loses the Configuration
When in dual pane view, with multiple tabs open in each pane (my normal, messy, workflow), if I accidentally switch to single pane then restore dual pane, all the tabs configured in the lower/right pane are gone. Can the lower/right pane's tab configuration be retained when switched from dual to sin...

Re: Problem with Move
Unfortunately not.
If I see it happening again, I'll pause the operation and grab screen shots.

Problem with Move
"Houston, we have a problem..." X2 4.4.0.1 ULT X64 on Win 7 HP. This is a second occurance of this anomaly/problem. I selected a small file in the visible window of a tab in the top pane Sticky was off, no other files selected. Pressed [F6] to move the file to a folder in another tab on th...

Re: Customize Toolbar Dialog Box, suggestion
Search box - from K's own words: Anyway, I decided to fix this and wrote a very simple utility to not only expand the view-size (automatically taking DPI into account) but also adding a proper Searchbox within the dialog itself which can locate any item as you type by name - no longer are we stuck w...

Re: Customize Toolbar Dialog Box, suggestion
One of the many extensions Kilmatead left for us was a toolbar utility/improvement . Although the screenshots died when the forum was transferred, the download still works. Unpack the RAR, and run the utility (either 32 or 64 bit depending on your flavor of x2) and point and click on the toolbar you...

Organize Menus need Duplicate
I've ranted, raged, pleaded and cried in the past over some real serious (IMHO) shortcomings in the UI. Bet you enjoyed the break while I was otherwise occupied... :D Now I'm HAPPY!   The User Command ORGANIZE dialog has a DUPLICATE button !!!!!! I can create a new command fro...

Re: Parameters Not Initialized for Empty Folder
Using plain icons for every command defeats the purpose for icons in the first place, quickly finding the command button on the toolbar.
Can the icons be updated in background like the file/folder icons when a folder is opened?

Re: Parameters Not Initialized for Empty Folder
UPDATE and related question UPDATE: Using Ultimate 4.4.0.1 x64, the $P variable is now initialized when the script is run against an empty folder. Thank you! :D However, the $C and $U variables are still uninitialized. :( Arguments: $P = [ F:\New Folder ] $C = [ ] $U = [ ] $L = [ D:\INACTIVE PANE ]...

Re: Mass rename question
AWXRENAME hasn't been updated for years but still works for me. A simple rt-click interface with options for LC, UC, Mixed (Title) and custom and PERL script selections, will operate on all selected files in the open folder.

Re: Filename is too long
That explains it.
I'm displaying folders with X2 ver 4.3.0.2 ult x64, but WORD can't open.
Works when I map a network location to a near parent location to reduce the apparent depth of the target folder.
Thanks for the quick reply.

Filename is too long
Got this error trying to open a .doc in a deep folder.
I thought x2 was handling long filenames now? Total UNC file name with path is only 265 characters.

The entire website moved to a different host a short time back and most images were lost.
This meant we lost many pictures of our dear departed Kilmatead's estate and other fanciful items.

Mostly water vapor from the 100,000 gallons per second pumped into the chamber to cool the walls of the test stand from the heat of the exhaust.
