Re: What are your customizations?

I think the latest version of x2 does have built in menu button for Thumbnails. There is also one for Details view, called "Default," which I think means "default set of columns." I found the built in buttons for Details and Thumbnails. I talking about a button for the smaller M...

Re: What are your customizations?

I have Menuhack so I need: List View, Minthumbs, Show All, Address Bar, Browse I was amused that Thumbs and Details view got a built in icon and the other didn’t. I would prefer the ones based on thumbnail views didn’t use actual thumbs, but pictures. I actually hinting that I wonder why these comma...

Tip Your Programmer

Did you buy a lifetime license years ago and now feel like you might want to give Nikos a little extra for all his hard work lately? You can. Just go to http://zabkat.com/donate_x2.htm and you will find a page that is set up so people can donate small amounts of money for the free lite version with ...

Re: I did all that worrying for nothing

are you using the small icons with text labels?
Thank you very much FrizzleFry. I didn't have text labels turned on, but I went ahead and turned them on and then off again and this seems to have fixed the problem.

I did all that worrying for nothing

The transition worked much smoother than I expected. I got my new upgrade key with "Register program". When I restarted x2 didn't even show me the Ribbon, I had to turn it on. I looked at it then turned it off (sorry). I actually took great comfort in you listing the Ribbon in the upgrade ...

since this update is "just" a ribbon and that rename, i'll see if I can squeeze in that little autofilter too ;) * [P] View > Visual filter > Autofilter menu command includes a list of complex filters, if you have any saved from Find File and other similar dialogs Thank you, thank you, th...

Will the new version break Snakebyte's Menu Hack utility

I've use menu hack utility to create several buttons for x2 commands that don't have them.

As much as I am nervous about x2 getting a Ribbon I am really excited about it getting a more powerful rename feature. I wish more people would talk about it.

Re: alpha version 250.13

Last year I got Word 2013 and let me tell you how I use and like the Ribbon. I hate them and avoid them like the plague. Why don't you use WordPerfect then? The real question is why don't I switch back to Word 2002. After a year of mucking around with Word 2013 with macros and several regist...

Re: alpha version 250.13

Last year I got Word 2013 and let me tell you how I use and like the Ribbon. I hate them and avoid them like the plague. They take up too much space and it is far, far harder for me to find a command that I want by scanning for it left to right in the Ribbon, rather than scan up and down in a menu w...

Re: blog: bloody mosquitos!

Weird, last night I slept outside and the mosquitoes were absolutely relentless. Even though it was hot and muggy, I had to sleep with a blanket over my head, and I could still hear them buzzing around my head on the other side of the blanket. I was actually glad when it started to rain.
