I think you have to disable some Vista effects to get lasso to work... it's in the x2SE (Tools/Advanced options) in the global tab... I tried this ... Easy when you know how

MenuBar > Customize > Folder Groups > Add Current
- saved my 4 tabs ...

Group Name can be edited
MenuBar > Customize > Folder Groups > Organize ... >
Organize (dialog)
- select the target group
Properties icon on the dialog
