Is it really that important ? Some menus like Outlook Express allow this but Lets hear from nikos.

This topic doesn't cover my needs,but just to comment.Wherever you close 2X is where it will open next time,and changeing directories by clicking the top of the Window are 2 of my favorite features.

Gato hasn't said what Windows or dropped by.Does he mean large icons when he describes folders ? I'd like to hear from Gato again.

viewing zips
I'm not completely sure what Gato "can't do" I have a folder with 535 zips and have no problem viewing them all.Either by name,size,date,type or acsending or unsorted in 2X.
By the way isn't messing with system files a bad idea ?

what you describe as a packet writer sounds like what directCD does. The problem with directCD is that it isn't a well established standard. You need a cd-rw disk and run Nero incd.It's just like useing a floppy.When it's full,burn it to a cd-r,then format the cd-rw and start over.
