I can't run this alpha. I start it, I get the main GUI initialised, but then it closes straight away. There are no assertions or errors reported.

vserghi, are you talking about thumbnail view mode or normal icons? Can you double check the old and alpha version side by side? Any view mode will show this odd icon, I went through them all. FYI on XP, if I make the folder tree show large icons, then disable it, the icons re-space themselves correctly vertically, but not horizontally.   http://i.imgur.com/0Wj5G.png Hiding/showing the folders or the pane doesn't fix it, but closing or exiting (then re-opening) does. confirmed here on XP...

Nope. the manifest file is in the same folder as kenny. If it was the manifest file, surely it would affect more than one icon?

I am seeing a strange black background on PsPad icons, that was not there on the previous version.

No other icons display this so far. Doesn't matter how I display the pane, detail, list, icons, thumbnail etc, it is still the same.

Just tried folders rooted in the desktop, program and folder shortcuts without any problems. All moved to the folder I was dragging the items into.

Perhaps some more details on your setup, version info etc?

I used Beyond Compare in the past and I was really impressed by its features and looks. But being the tight-arse that I am, decided on WinMerge.

I tried using windiff once, lasted all of a minute before I stopped using it again. Nikos, how you can use that is beyond me.

Have you guys tried WinMerge?
