Gathering files: Indicate the number of files gathered.

Since I know how many files are in a directory (from the file manager) that would give some idea of progress.

In the status bar:

I assume, since you don't mention it, that similar image matching is not implemented yet.

I'm a bit puzzled.

I close x² with Alt+x, Alt+F4 or with the window close button. All appear to work the same, x² disappears from Process Explorer. I would have expected there to have been some indication in Process Explorer if x² was still running without a window.

Nikos, You didn't make it clear that similar contents were not checked.
Since I don't listen to compressed MP3 music, it's useless for classical music (try an organ recording with MP3 compression), then I have no files to check.

Not impressed! 98%, finds files that are totally different. The default of 90% was a joke. I'll stick to contents compare. AI, not for me. Remember HAL in 2001.

I haven't done a scan. I'd be very worried if DeClone found different sized files as byte-by-byte identical!!!

... If you want search by content you must leave in SIZE Would it be possible to automatically enable, or prevent disabling, "Size" if "Same file content" is selected? It would seem logical since if you want to compare by content, then the files must be the same size. Just a tho...

@ lnbrantley DupDetector: Used it for many years. Worked well but, as you say, it's no longer supported and was very, very slow. Find.Same.Images.OK: That was the program that found my cat and my friend similar. Regular crashes and lockouts with large numbers of files. Disappointing, since other O.K...

Well, I found one just glancing at the help: " Save results for later diafora saving scan parameters and scan file contents unprocessed project.png right click to clear history, how to clear saved scans from menu" Looks like Greek to me (διαφορά) and the whole sentence seems a bit strange....

I see we are back to a debug version. Anything particular to look out for? The scan took 18+ minutes, but not from a cold start.
