Topic: Difference in "free disk space" readings
Replies: 1

Today I had my HD nearly full, and had to check the status, to avert a disaster. During these checks, I discovered that 2x shows two different readings of free disk space, depending on the method: Method-1: Left-click on D: (in the tree) and read the status line (Right-hand bottom box) Method-2: rig...

How do you toggle between- 1. synchronization by contents and 2. synchronization by date ? The control (F9 and the "x2" button) for both modes seems to be common. The help file explains the difference between the two modes, but does not elaborate on how to enter each mode specifically. Sit...

I think in my case, it should be possibility#2, because I did use 2x for transferring the folder-contents to its parent folder, and immediately afterwards tried to delete the now-empty folder from its parent folder's level. There was no other program running at the time; and it did not occur to me t...

Nikos, I have gone through the earlier discussion thread (locked now-- too much bandying? ;) ) I am sorry to have missed it before starting this thread. Yet, I find that it does not entirely fit my own experience: 1. That thread does not mention that the problem persists even when you ARE at next-hi...

No- I thought of that, and checked for this possibility. At the time, the folder-to-be-deleted was displayed as one item in its next-level folder. The other pane was showing some other folder altogether. (I keep the file-tree displayed, but almost never use it by clicking there. In this case also, I...

Oh, yes- forgot to add the bit about the search function in help files : The search box vanishes after searching the help file only once for the desired text. To find each subsequent instance, you have to invoke it once again by pressing CTRL+F. Suggestion : Two possible improvements: 1. The...

Can you provide drop-down selections in both "forward" and "back" buttons (similar to the ones provided in Windows Explorer)?

This will enable users to directly jump to the desired location instead of having to click multiple times.

Save all those delicate fingernails!

The following feature can be added to search:

During/after the search, the search condition is not shown. Although it is possible to see it again by pressing CTRL+F, I think it would be preferable to see it right at the top of the search box.

Occasionally, 2XExplorer does not allow deleting emptied folders: it gives a 'disk full or file in use' error. The only work-around is to close 2XExplorer, come back right in and delete the folder. I am unable to pin down a pattern, though. I tried the following, but could not simulate the problem- ...

Currently, the user has to copy the website and NetEZ Forum URLs from the Help>About 2xExplorer , and paste them in his IE/Netscape to reach out. This is not necessary: it should be possible to reach both website and NetEZ Forum by clicking on the hotlinks provided in the Help>About 2xExplorer box. ...

I wasn't thinking of regular expressions really: for non-programmer users, just a google-like simple boolean search would be more appropriate. Also, Agent Ransack displays raw text, including all control characters displayed as special characters. In MS Office Word/Excel/PowerPoint, the proportion o...

Wow! That was fast, Nikos! With so many (fast) responses, just when do you find the time to code? ;) Only yesterday I have found a beautiful implementation of all the three concepts in a free utility called "agentransack" :ok: , which has the following features: * Boolean search-name * Boo...
