Re: are you a ribbon or menu person?

@Nikos In the interests of retaining sanity would you mind trying the following on a 4k TV or monitor. Open X2; Open a Video file from within X2 with VLC (default). Does VLC play the file correctly or is the video displayed only in the top left quadrant, even if full screen is invoked the video only...

Re: are you a ribbon or menu person?

My main portal to pc work is a 4k TV, its where I spend most of my leisure time, gaming, productivity, and entertainment. 4k pc monitors will become the norm due to distance to screen, resolution, and increase in size, yes size does matter. So, resolving the issues pertaining to correct scaling in 4...

Re: Locate the menu for sort by regular expression "Casablanca 1984"

On one PC x2filter's menu command "Sort By RegExp [S]" is visible and works, on another PC "Sort By RegExp [S]" is greyed out. I've reset all to default in the Configure dialogue. Prior to installing the latest version of x2Filter I was clicking and toggling anything filter relat...

Re: Locate the menu for sort by regular expression "Casablanca 1984"

I downloaded the recent version again and low and behold it works, old file must have been corrupted by the gremlins resident in my laptop.

Many thanks for the information gents, it never crossed my mind to re-install a original version.

Re: blog: scout tricks exposed

What's scary is that youngsters don't verify, they trust implicitly. In my profession, I was amazed at how many new pilots would simply engage the auto pilot or any automatic system without verifying that the subsystem is doing what it was programmed to do according to parameters, It was always a ca...

Re: Locate the menu for sort by regular expression "Casablanca 1984"

The Forum topic about this should be available, he named his Sort program, x2Filter-v0516

I have the program which he created, if you're interested tell me how I can send you the 2.7 meg files.

Analogue watch...

Create a Analogue watch app for mobile phones and you'll have a winner, just don't tell them that their phone has GPS.

Re: Locate the menu for sort by regular expression "Casablanca 1984"

For Info: The sort by regular expression dialogue was part of Kilmatead's Date Sort application, I can't get his application to work to take a screen shot.

Locate the menu for sort by regular expression "Casablanca 1984"

I'm unable to locate the dialogue menu which appears when sort by regular expression is clicked. I remember that the default search in the menu was "Casablanca (1984)" , sort by date in title, which is exactly how I want to sort my movie collection. Why now, (in case Nikos reads this), bec...

Re: build 5001 released

there are a number of considerations that make a permanent drivebar tricky. I could put one drivebar in the titlebar of each pane (where the clickable path is) but what if someone has 20 drives connected? So the only feasible solution is to offer a drop-down list there instead of a drivebar With du...

Re: build 5001 released

I like it. 1}. Icons/font on the drive bars aren't the same size. Click small icons on the original drive bar make make them resemble each other. 2). If I click on the drive above the window it will change the active window's contents. I think that if I click on the drive icon above a window it shou...

@ Nikos Yep that ought to do it, now the boom is complete and the surfer can tack efficiently from both sides, irrespective of whether there's a cold or hot breeze. it's all about being able to visualise air, during my observation of a few hang glider competitions I noticed that some very competitiv...

Re: of waters and winds

this is Sparta! Whilst we're on good terms, I'd like to ask you a sailing question. Do you think it would be easier to tack dual panes if there were drive icons above each pane, seems logical that the quickest way to change direction in a pane is to go directly to the drive bar above it instead of ...
