When you navigate into a folder junction or directory symbolic link whose target is on a different drive, would it be possible to have the status bar show the free space of the target drive rather than the location of the junction/link?

To make it easier to be aware of a filtered pane, you could change the color for "Filtered panel background" in Advanced Options.

You must be using single pane mode. Seems like dual pane mode would make what you want much easier.
