Re: Editor2 issue
I've set up xplorer2 to open the selected file in editor2 using the hotkey alt-2; Just curious...have you tried F3/F4? These are the standard hotkeys for launching editor2 in view/edit mode from x2. However, if I execute it a second time, while the first instance of editor2 is still open, it fails ...

File Statistics
from another whiny user
How hard would it be to,
in some future version of x2,
generate statistics (chars, words, lines) for all selected text files.
editor2 does this currently for single files.

On the 'Window' tab of the 'Tools\Options...' dialog there are settings for the Quick Viewer. One of these is a checkbox: 'Start playing media files immediately'. Uncheck this box. Windows Media Player will still load in the quick viewer, but won't start playing files of type .mp3, .wma, .avi etc. u...

I sent an email to: umeca74@ic.ac.uk
I hope this is the right one.
Interrestingly, there were no drwatson log entries of x2 crashing until 06/23/2004. I upgraded from 1.0.0.0 to 1.0.0.1 on that morning.

Irregular crashing while moving files (but X2 still ROCKS!!)
While doing some heavy file managing (re-org folder structure) on my network share at work, x2 crashed all the time (not just on closing). This frequently happened when "dragging" or Ctrl-X/Ctrl-V ing files to change their locations; it didn't always happen, but once every 10-15 times does...

Finder's "Additional Rules" problem (possible bug)
I am doing a search with the following criteria: 1. all source files (i.e. *.java,*.xml,*.jsp etc) in a project folder 2. all files in the .metadata directory of the project should be excluded. To meet the requirements for 2, I know that you can put ",-*metadata*" in "Look in" fi...

which subset?
One thing that would be worthwhile to include in the .cida files would be the search parameters used to generate the contents of the scrap frame (while searching). Then when users ran the "refresh" command while viewing a .cida file, the search would re-execute. Of course, if any items wer...
