I think that would be interesting and useful. Would it be similar to the Drive toolbar button (Select Drive on Go to menu)?

Re: new version under way
Snakebyte's MenuHack and Menu++ are very useful utilities although MenuHack has been mostly superceeded by x2's macros. I still use Menu++ although I have made some modifications to it over the years. I have always thought that a built in user menu functionality would be useful for x2 to have. The o...

Re: xplorer2 suggestion box
I think a vertical tab list pane would be useful. There are times when I have opened many tabs and it gets annoying finding specific ones. At first I thought a tab bar context menu would work for this but there is already a tab bar context menu for folder groups. A persistent pane similar to the tre...

Re: Alt-C
Customize/Keyboard use... shows command codes for commands that have keyboard shortcuts. Another way to see the command codes for menu items is to use Resource Hacker to view the x2 main menu. I can post the the text of the main menu resource file for reference if Nikos is ok with that. You should a...

Re: user command and MS Word
You could use Nirsoft FileTypesMan or Sysinternals Process Explorer to determine the actual command line used to load doc/docx files.

Re: user command and MS Word
Are you sure winword.exe is in the same location?
If there was an update for Word the file association would probably have been adjusted but the user command would not. Check if the file association is using the same path for winword.exe as the user command.

Ahh, yes. I vaguely remember that now.
Thanks for the quick response.

mass renamer is case sensitive in regex mode
I noticed recently that the mass renamer becomes case sensitive when using regex. Is that on purpose? Has the mass renamer regex mode always been case sensitve?

Re: Maximum number of Folder Groups?
I do not think so currently.
I have asked for more user commands before but maybe if a few of us request more of these custom objects Nikos can be persuaded.

Re: xplorer2 build 5101 released
renaming is just as slow with that beta... I'll try the reg settting...
I see nMaxSlowRename is a per layout setting. I'll leave it enabled in one of my layouts in case I need to do a sequential rename.
Setting nMaxSlowRename to 0 does speed up renaming.
Thanks.

Re: xplorer2 build 5101 released
I don't notice a delay on renaming files. It's renaming folders that is slow.

Re: xplorer2 build 5101 released
I see slow mass renames on as few as three folders. The renames I've been doing today are simple non-RE search-n-replace so they should be very fast. They are in folders with 50 or more folders that I have filtered to the ones that need renaming. I use color coding based on modification date on file...

Re: xplorer2 build 5101 released
mass renames, specially of folders, seem to be talking a lot more time with this latest version. Even with less than 10 folders to rename I am getting a progress bar and it takes several seconds.
