Re: Change the row selection color?

Oh yeah. Thanks. I tweaked the background colors a bit, darkened them slightly, but I'm not sure it did much to the selection color. Anyway, it isn't a national emergency.

Change the row selection color?

Is it possible to change the highlight color of the selected item or items in x2? I thought it was but I can't find it among the various options. After a recent Windows update and a complete uninstall/reinistall, the highlight color is kind of purple and offensive to me. I'd really like to change it.

Re: Saving settings without disktop.ini litter

Ah. Thanks man. I've got my workaround: I renamed the column "End of Line......." I'm good. Thanks again.

Re: Saving settings without disktop.ini litter

Thanks folks. I was thinking I'd have to uninstall, reinstall, and rebuild my x2 from scratch. But all I want is one column to be a few pixels wider! I'm just going to live with what I've got, which is pretty close to perfection. This all started because I didn't want to see ".Endian" tack...

No. And I don't want to have to rely on them.

Re: Saving settings without disktop.ini litter

Something else: I can't even reset what I have. I got rid of all the tabs but one in each pane and saved the setting. x2 now opens up with just those two folders, one in each pane. But if get rid of all the columns except Name and Modified, and then save the settings and exit, x2 still comes back wi...

Re: Saving settings without disktop.ini litter

This is insanity. Nikos, I have been trying what you suggested--many times, hoping for a different outcome--and it doesn't work: the one column I want widened doesn't stay put. And I have the latest version and "individual tab settings" is not active. I tried FrizzleFry's idea and that doe...

Saving settings without disktop.ini litter

Every few years, after making some minor change to the appearance of my x2, I have to ask here how to make the new appearance the default without littering every folder with desktop.ini files. What I've done: Changed the width of a column My set up: Two horizontal panes with 10 tabs on top and 8 tab...

Sure does. You have to check the box to search subfolders, of course.

Re: Endian: A Plugin for Viewing ASCII/UTF-8/16/32 Encoding & Heuristic Detection of Charactersets

Would Detroit like this as a secondary column, or as appended text? Detroit likes appended text and secondary columns about equally--I can imagine decent arguments for either. Maybe the one that's easier for you is our favorite. We're an accommodating city. http://p35t.imgup.net/detroit_sk213a.jpg ...

Re: Endian: A Plugin for Viewing ASCII/UTF-8/16/32 Encoding & Heuristic Detection of Charactersets

It turns out I really despise those desktop.ini files. Really can't stand them. Moreover, they're inconvenient (at best) to have in many of the folders I use, which are also the ones I want your Endian column to appear in. So I made Endian part of the default column set for several of the tabs that ...

Re: Endian: A Plugin for Viewing ASCII/UTF-8/16/32 Encoding & Heuristic Detection of Charactersets

Columns are saved using Actions -> Folder Settings , they are only saved with "normal" settings if you're not already in a folder that has dedicated column selections - there they then become part of the default for folders otherwise bereft of a bespoke column set. Of course. Thanks. It s...

K, this is fabulous! In 2012 I asked if something like this were possible: http://forum.zabkat.com/viewtopic.php?f=18&t=9622 . Seeing this information at a glance is very useful to me--it prevents small headaches. Thank you! May you stay forever young. One thing: Why does the column disappear wh...
