Once again: F10 and Enter does the same with a little less fuzz.

@fgagnon

Dumb question maybe, but - regardless the newly available tool - isn't it much easier just to post a "regedit  reg file" for registry tweaks which can be pasted into a reg file and double clicked on instead of leading the common user through editing the registry?

I personally hate pdf documents. Adobe reader seems a memory hog (or has a memory leak) You might want to try the free version of Foxit PDF Reader http://www.FoxitSoftware.com which I've configured for my quick-and-dirty PDF Viewer. Standalone (no install), small footprint, displays most PDFs corre...

Ok, might as well post it here. I'm thinking about a little tweaking. Keep the Shift-F12 Combo. But I think the main reason for this dialogue is the changing of the dates (since you can change attributes with the F12 key as well). Also I'm talking keyboard only (like always). Right now have to hit S...

I think the only time I use a mouse in xplorer² is when I touch a filetime, since the process has changed from a two-key sequence in 2xExplorer to six or seven keys in xplorer². 4 actually :-) (Shift-F12, Space, Arrow right) and I was going to suggest an enhancement of this dialogue to Nikos anyway.

there you go, we've reached critical mass already! :) but gents, it will be registry only tweak for the time being What did you expect asking if the usual suspects want more options? But I hope the "for the time being" is only temporary because for me (and I suspect for Fred too) the valu...

Call me in. While I'll totally agree with sorting lexicographical and use it where I can it would be a major help for organising files which have been named by others.

It's a hassle to pick them from the "unsorted" list for renaming etc.
So my vote for an option is yes.

I'm never against new options. :-) Though I never considered it a problem to hit an additional key to get to the top or end. But the current way has to stay the default. Often enough I want the focus on a specific file to watch files with same size, date or whatever around it. While it's easy to hit...

Hi JDN, absolutely sharing your opinion about keyboard vs. mouse effectivity. Will have a look at your hotkey program too though I'm pretty content with AutoHotkey and SlickRun running on my system. I'd like to try your filters, too. But I only get a warning "Programm zu groß für den Arbeitsspe...

I had the same problem with an earlier version and it was because I still had the old language dll. Try deleting it and reinstalling.

In my version it works. You should find "Neuer Tab" in the menu.

just get into the addressbar <shift+tab> and type a single $ followed by <enter>
F10 + Enter is doing the same. I use it all the time.

And guess what, we can make you entirely happy with a little freeware utility (I really should add a few of these to the chapter 8 thread :-). It's been mentioned before: PowerMenu http://www.veridicus.com/tummy/programming/powermenu/ Not only you can minimize any window to the tray but make the alw...

chp, I just discovered the freeware AutotHotkey

http://www.autohotkey.com/download/AutoHotkey1021.exe

and I'm completely blown away of its possibilities.

If you're looking for remapping for now this might help you.

Probably.

I'm from Germany and for me it works with my German keyboard layout with Ctrl-#.

What's the equivalent for the "\" on your layout. Have you tried the key next left to the enter key (the lower one)?
