Apart from the new features introduced with v.2.2.0.1 (fast search), what is the practical difference between Ultimate and a portable version built with Spoon Studio (for example) or ThinApp?

May I use the "2.2.0.0 x2settings.ini" in version 2.2.0.1?
Are 2.2.0.1 and 2.2.0.0 settings compatible?

Do you have "Save program state on exit" enabled?

Just edit the x2settings.reg file and delete the line that contains that word.
Then re-import it
