There must be a lot of pent up frustration being released. Or is it just anarchist like the riots that happen when the World Trade Organization meets somewhere and they are people who like to see things burn.
Do you believe the police actually shot that kid for no reason and why did it happen?

What's actually involved in the conversion?
I am just curious what is actually involved in creating a 64 bit version of a program. I'm not a programmer. I thought you only had to take your code and do something like hit a button that compiled it for 64 bit. Are there going to be features in the 64 bit version not in the regular flavor? What's...

You are aware of Autorefresh?
I notice you are a new user and want to make sure you know xplorer has autorefresh and you don't really need easy access to refresh. I've never needed to hit Refresh and this is one of the most wonderful things I like about x2.

How about dragging onto the Breadcrumbs
I think the place to drag to that is missing in x2 is the Breadcrumbs bar. I would love to be able to drag files to it, and navigate through it. Do you know how to make Greek coffee? I use to get strong, sweet coffee made in an ibrik years ago in a Greek restaurant. Forget energy drinks. They...

I found a VBS script to do this
I came across an article to a VBS script that is supposed to toggle the hidden property. I don't know if it works, but maybe someone can give it a try. http://cybernetnews.com/2008/07/24/cybernotes-shortcut-to-showhide-hidden-files/ The code looks like this: Set sh = CreateObject("WScript.Shell...

I use the free Rename Master
I have found nothing that the free Rename Master couldn't do. Plus if you install the Optional Right-Click Addon, Rename Master will show up as an option in xplorer's right-click menu when you have more the one file selected. I don't think xplorer²'s mass rename has any ability to remove stuff from ...

You can do this with snakebyte's MenuHack
Download and install the x2 add on MenuHack. (If this link doesn't work just search this forum for it.) READ the instructions carefully for using MenuHack, it is explained there in detail. You have to create a x2 User Command (found under the Customize menu) that points to MenuHack with the proper c...

On a purely philosophical note about this topic:
We can’t Windows allow two files to have the same name? Two files with the same name aren’t going to be identical in any other characteristic (creation date, file size, ect). I think Windows should allow files to have the same names, but have a setting that says that when files have the same name us...

I really want this too
Naming conflicts like this comes up a lot. A similar situation like this is when I want to move a file into a folder where the name conflicts. I just want the "Do you want to replace" dialog to show both files and their file info, and then let me change the name of either or both of the tw...

I enjoyed this post
I notice no one has posted here yet but I really found this topic very helpful and look forward to more. I still haven't figured out why it is necessary to have any program information outside of the program's folder in the Program folder, unless Windows needs it when Windows starts up. I would also...

Search
Search, even though half the time the name of the folder I'm searching is out of view to the right in path in the Look in: box, and for some reason, for as long as I can remember, it defaults to Named: *.nri so I often have to hit the Clear button first. I also still think the number changing arrows...

I don't understand how you guys vote for Prime Minister
I live in the US and I don't understand the election process for Prime Ministers. I have read a couple articles on this subject, ,especially last year when Blair left, and like junction points, hard links, ect, the more I read, the more confused I am. For example, when is the next PM election? It se...

How about adding Special folders to the Breadcrumbs?
How about adding the "Special folders" menu to the new << other drives chevron in breadcrumbs. There are still many places I can't seem to easily reach directly with breadcrumbs and this would just about cover everything. I know I can dig for some of these special locations (such as the de...
