XP-style icons?

you don't see drive icons because you are in thumbnail view and you are comparing it with explorer's tile view mode (which isn't available in x2)

how are you changing your color scheme? are you using standard control panel display properties? What's the default window background color? See if you can get a snapshot like this from your display properties (i suspect your default COLOR_WINDOW is white)

There's always that white background in x2 with darker themes.

Even in explorer's medium (thumbnail view) and large icon views, there's still drive icons. Of course you need drive icons in thumbnail view! Basic aesthetics man! Check out how ultraexplorer handles theirs. Very secksy, but UE is slow and crashes often.

How about an option to show images and vids as thumbnails in "Large Icon" view in x2?
