Sort by date..folders and files arent the same

Post by pytr »

I've been using lite for about 6months. I really enjoy it! I'm ready to pull the trigger on the pro version but one thing that stops me is the sort by date feature.

When it sorts it treats folders and files the same, instead of like Explorer where the tops would be at top and the folders at the bottom.

Now i'm not saying it should sort the same as explorer..becus copying anything MS does is bad imho....but I would like to know how I can get the same function.

you can have the folders bunched separately or mixed when sorting. There is a drop-down box for this setting in Tools > Options > Window > View

Yeah...problem with that is then it always groups folders at top and files below. So the folders are always shown first.

That was a consensus-of-users design decision to always put folders first when sorted separately.

If you are not interested in seeing folders, you can always hide/unhide them with Alt+J
