2xplorer take zip files as folders

Post by Gato »

Hi..yeah, now I've this problem, I want to see the folders first

like windows explorer does, lately I can do that with 2xplorer.

I've a folder with 50 subfolder and 200 zip files and to access

one of the subfolder is a bit annoying to find it btw all the zip

files.

the only way I found to do that, is sorting them by type, but

maybe there is a tip to get that when the content of the panel

is sorted by name (default)

Any help will be appreciated

thanks

You can get an answer by following the link

http://forum.zabkat.com/viewtopic.php?t=28 ... zipfolders

Nikos explains why this is and what you can do about it. The FAQs are to be found here

http://netez.com/2xExplorer/faq.html

Hope this helps :)

P.S. Xplorer2 does allow you to choose whether to sort zipfiles (or zipfolders for that matter) as files or as folders (default is to sort them as files if I'm correct). You might like to try Xplorer2. The latest alpha (version .57 at the moment is available at http://netez.com/2xExplorer

I don't see any #'s in FAQ's.
Right click the zip.You should have an option of where to open. Then an option of "use this all the time"
This works in 2x and My Computer and Explore.

Go to: http://netez.com/2xExplorer/faq.html, and search for "Q25" (without the quotation marks).

"Q25" stands for "question # 25", of course.

viewing zips

Post by zippit »

:?:
I'm not completely sure what Gato "can't do" I have a folder with 535 zips and have no problem viewing them all.Either by name, size, date, type or acsending or unsorted in 2X.
:D
By the way isn't messing with system files a bad idea ?

What windows version are you on zippit? Because you won't be bothered with zipfolders unless you are on Windows ME or Windows XP? But is you are on XP for instance, you can't get around zipfolders that easy. You'll have to disable the 'feature' to get 'normal' zip behaviour!!

True, if you don't know what you are doing! But again, there is no way around zipfolders short of disabling it all together. So if you want that on ME or XP, you have no choice 8)
