Problem trying to view properties

Post by gthorley »

If I rightclick on a file or folder in 2Xexplorer it causes an illegal operation and the program shuts down any thoughts?

gthorley,

You should get a context menu with a choice of options.

please supply additional information
(like OS & whether the problem just started after having worked correctly, or whether you only have the problem with specific folders,
whether it is in folderpane or treepane, etc.
& If new to 2xExplorer, describe how you have set it up.)

PS - 2xExplorer has been declared "officially dead" by nikos (the author).
Although it is still freely available, you might want to try its more powerful successor, xplorer2. It has both a free-forever "Lite" version and a licensed full-capability "Pro" version, which is shareware with a free 21-day full-capability trial period.

Trying out explorer2_lite.

It doesn't duplicate the problem, but I liked the little tool boxes on the bottom of 2xExplorer listed as toolbar under view toolbars. Explorer2 doesn't seem to have this feature. I realize one can use f5 f6 f8 etc. and click on the headings to rearrange the other was just so simple. It does seem like a better program though from my brief look.

I don't want to disuade people from trying newer versions, but i think new users should get the feel with 2X.I'm happy standing pat.
A right click(context Menu) should not have these results.Lets get more info.
