When I tried to uninstall Visual Studio 6 (who still wants this today!), the uninstaller turned very pale and told me, I had a folder name starting with a space or a "%" character. So I tried the 2xExplorer Find Files tool and typed a space followed by a "*" in the "named" field, but this was interpreted the same as just a "*", asking me to provide a more specific search pattern. The question is simple: How can I search for files & folders starting with a space???

the sort answer is -- you can't !

leading spaces are not valid for filenames (i wonder how this file was created in the first place! )

you could use a ? in the pattern to search for, which stands for any single character if that's going to help --- although i bet it won't unless you are after a single-character name...

it looks like you've discovered a limitation there!
