Hi !

i'm new but i started liking your file manager a lot !
My problem: i wanted to update a backup folder with all my dll-files and did a "find files" for *.dll with results shown in an extra window. So far so good, but how can i synchronise/compare files shown in this result window with the ones i can put on one of my explorer panes ?  i tried right clicking... and i do understand that synchronisation can only be done between the 2 explorer panes ....

Thanx !

A workaround is copying the find results into a temp folder by using the clipboard. (Strg-C in the modeless window for the selected files, Strg-V in the temp folder you create). That's what I did in similar cases.

nice analytical thinking there BRX!  :)
very elegant solution to circumvent 2x's limitations

WillyDR, there's no way to convince 2x to perform deep synchronization, only what you see in the panes.

a little known feature of the find results window is that if you select a bunch of files that belong in the same folder and hit [Enter] then they will all be loaded in the active pane and automatically hilighted (all of them). This can be useful in some cases, but i doubt that synchronization is one of them...
