hey, Nikos!

i think i have something for your "ToDo" list:

would it be possible to have an option which would allow for automatic removal of "readonly" attribute off of files copied from CDs? that would be pretty useful, i think...

it's the good-old address bar to the rescue.
just press [shift-tab] and type the command:

Code: Select all

$ attrib -R *
and presto, all your files will be un-readonlied.
You only have to type it once, then it will be available from the command history menu [Ctrl+F10]

while you are at it, try typing help attrib in a command box to see more options for this command (e.g. it can go down subfolders and change attributes in there too)

y'know, i'm a lazy bastard... :lol: so if something can be done automatically, i'm very happy! but i've taken notice of your advice and will try to put it to some use. we'll see how it works!
