I do not really think that this has anything to do with 2x explore. I am directing this question to you only because you know a thing or two.
The problem is that for no apparent reason windows explorer.exe refuses to open in the shape I want.
Here is what I did
1) |Right-click the explorer icon |Properties|Shortcut|Run: NORMAL WINDOW|
2) Open the explorer, adjust the window to the desired shape
3) |Tools|Folder options|View|Like current folder|
4) Close the window and re-open the explorer by double-clicking its icon.
The explorer does not obey rather it will open maximized.
If in step 1) 'MINIMIZED' is selected, then it will open minimized OK. Clicking then on its button in the taskbar the explorer will open in a 'NORMAL' windows but not in the shape I had so carefully selected before.
Can you tell me what is going on?
Where are width and height of the NORMAL explorer window stored?
I even went so far as to re-install Windows XP on top of the original installation. That worked great but the explorer behaves silly like before! :(
