I've been having a problem with changing folders being slow (3-4 seconds for a folder change).  This only seems to occur when I have winamp open.  Has anybody else had this problem?  or know how to fix this?  I'm using Windows XP.  Regular windows explorer seems to change directories quickly when winamp is open.

thx

this is weird. No clues whatsoever. Is winamp working hard any of your CDs /HDs or is it just standing there?

soon there'll be an alpha release of the new generation 2x and you can try to see if it works better, just for curiosity!

I found that the problem was with an alarm clock plugin for winamp.  It wasn't even set, yet it still slowed down 2xexplorer.  Also winamp was idle at the time (not playing anything).  No clue as to why that was happening, cpu usage seemed regular.  On a p4 too.

Everything is working fine now that i've uninstalled the alarm.
